Santa Barbara now has its own Electronic Cafe...but it sucks!

You heard me! That's the E Cafe, located in quaint downtown Santa Barbara, tucked away at 1219 State Street, amid all the cool stores. The one thing I can say for the place is that it's completely Macintosh-run (and I've probably just made a million enemies by saying that!). Maybe it's just that it's a new establishment and doesn't have many costumers yet, and maybe it will pick up in time.

Hearing about the E Cafe for the first time reminded me of when I first learned of Bubbles and Beans, the laundromat coffeehouse all-in-one, but that was cool. E Cafe isn't.

I don't know what it is that turned me off to the place so much...maybe it was that it's too sterile and new inside, or maybe that it wasn't packed with netjunkies, or maybe that the girl at the front counter was the biggest ditz this side of the Rockies and couldn't tell a computer from a toaster oven.

But they let me bring Lyle in, so he got to see his homepage for the first time ever. He was into it at first, but quickly lost interest and let me know this by peeing on the chair.
