'Twas the second Annual Big Dogs dog parade Saturday June 8 and Lyle participated and showed his true colors. It's not that he's a mean dog, but get him in a crowd and he gets very protective of me. He earned a reputation with the Santa Barbara Flyers
..."Stay away from Lyle - he's fierce!" I guess they'd just never seen a Chihuahua in action before.

All in all it was fun and even though we were unable to stay and see Spencer the Gardener due to Lyle's pissy attitude, but we got cool free stuff, like a big dogs collar and holistic all-natural dog treats that I could probably feed to Lyle were I to starve him for 3 days first.

I thought a gimmick was in order since they'd be giving out prizes for smallest dog, biggest dog, funniest dog, etc... But I only had two weeks to work on it, so it was either go nekked, or wear something last-minute. I made a little sign that said

to tape on him as well as little slips of paper with the same message to dole out. The sign didn't stay taped on for long and I didn't want to seem to pushy by forcing the slips on everyone (unless I had holistic dog treats to give out with them or something) so he wasn't the CyberPup for long. But we did meet one other dog with a homepage this way...while Lyle was still in his get-up and before he felt the need to become a snarling ball of fury. Jasper isn't a Chihuahua, but he's cute in his own big dog way.
